Dorset based waste company reduce tipping costs

An investment in a Remu Screening Bucket has allowed Mogsons Waste to screen its waste down and tip fines at £3 rather than sending it off to another facility to be screened at a cost of £60 a ton previously.

Remu Worsley Plant

Starting over 3 years ago with just one truck, today Mogsons Waste have over 300 skips and 10 staff. Based in Dorset they are a complete waste management company specialising in skip hire, waste clearance and non-ferrous metals, for both domestic and commercial customers.

Typically, the company would stack their waste and then hire in a big screener at substantial cost. However, they operate out of a small yard and therefore Mogsons decided to look at Screening Buckets, as they felt these may be more suitable for their operation.

A Grab Company they knew suggested that Connor Lysons, Owner of Mogsons, contact Worsley Plant. Matt, Area Sales Manager for the South suggested a Remu XO2090 Screening Bucket due to the size of the plant operating within the small yard.

The Remu Bucket allows them to keep on top of the waste on a daily basis. As the tipped waste comes in it can be processed the same day. They screen the waste twice so that it comes out cleaner separating out soil and rubble from the mixed waste streams.

To tip waste it was costing £60 a ton at another facility that already has a screener. It only costs £3 a ton if it is screened fines, and the rubble is free to tip.
